J Paul Cook MD

J Paul Cook, MD is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Diplomate in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He began his medical practice in 2000, joining Dr. Head at that time. He has served on the Executive Board of Lakeside Hospital in Omaha. Dr. Cook is a member of the UniNet Physician-Hospital Organization.

 

The American Diabetes Association and the National Committee for Quality Assurance have recognized Dr. Cook for Delivery of Quality Diabetes Care. Surveyed patients have chosen Dr. Cook as a Patientsʼ Choice Physician and have also given him the On-Time Physician Award.

 

Dr. Cook earned his MD at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and took his residency training at the Clarkson Family Medicine Residency in Omaha, Nebraska. He has covered Emergency Rooms and Urgent Care Clinics around Omaha and western Iowa. His patients now hale from all around metro Omaha. They live in cities such as Council Bluffs and Bellevue, as well as the Elkhorn, Gretna, and Millard areas of west Omaha. Dr. Cook deeply values the relationships which have developed with so many families.

 

Dr. Cook was born in Wayne, NE and his family moved to Omaha when he was seven years old. He graduated from Burke High School and majored in business at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Prior to starting medical school, he had worked for an investment firm and then attended seminary.

 

Dr. Cook and his wife have four children at widely varied stages of development.
